SUPERSTRUCTURES congratulates Principal Paul Millman, PE, RA for becoming a Recognized Professional of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT).

The APT’s Professional Recognition program acknowledges the expertise of individuals in the various fields of preservation technology with a formal designation of achievement. These professionals have specialized knowledge, through formal training and/or work experience, in the use of preservation technology in conservation and stewardship of cultural heritage.

The APT’s award recognizes Paul’s leadership of SUPERSTRUCTURES’ efforts to bring the practice of restoration into the 21st century through applications of leading-edge technologies.

A founding principal of SUPERSTRUCTURES, over his 42-year tenure Paul has been principal-in-charge of projects for prominent private, institutional, and public clients, including the GSA, DASNY, NYCHA, HHC, DCAS, DDC, SCA, and OGS. He has overseen hundreds of exterior restorations, including Lucy Moses award winners for George Westinghouse High School, St. Paul’s Chapel, the Jefferson Market Branch Library, Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center, and the Rod Rodgers and Duo Theater.

Paul holds a BArch from Cooper Union and an MS in Civil Engineering from MIT. He is both a Professional Engineer and a Registered Architect and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), as well as APT. He is a past president of the Metro New York chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI).
