Part of our mission has been to drag the practice of exterior restoration into the 21^st century (from the 19^th, where it seems to reside). Our success in doing so has been the key to our preeminence in the field—and the reason that Bucky the hamster feels right at home with us.

Why “Bucky?” We named him after fellow visionary, R. Buckminster Fuller. In Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth, Fuller offered this anecdote:

“If you are in a shipwreck and all the boats are gone, a piano top buoyant enough to keep you afloat that comes along makes a fortuitous life preserver. But this is not to say that the best way to design a life preserver is in the form of a piano top.”

In keeping with Fuller’s colorful analogy—and Bucky’s example—SUPERSTRUCTURES strives to think outside the box (or the maze), continually improving our tools, methods, and restoration solutions to help advance the industry and benefit our clients.
