This Romanesque Revival power plant is a Nationally Registered Historic Landmark and a National Civil Engineering Landmark. Built in 1906, the facility was a coal-burning plant that generated electricity for the trans-Hudson railway, now known as the PATH. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation services related to an historic preservation study encompassing the structure’s exterior, interior and historic elements. Remediation work necessary to stabilize it for up to 20 years was recommended.
