The Health Science Education Center was built in the late 1980s. In 2013 SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained to investigate masonry distresses at the 8th-floor roof level parapet on the south elevation. Based upon the recommendations included in the investigative report, the client decided to proceed with the investigation of structural integrity of all four facades of the buildings. Following visual inspection of the subject premises, areas of concern were inspected at close range from a suspended scaffold and documented graphically and photographically. The firm issued a final report analyzing conditions, providing recommendations for repairs, with preliminary cost estimates for the proposed work.
