The project involved restoration work on 48 academic buildings, totaling 1.5 million square feet, constructed in the mid-1970s. The buildings exhibited a full spectrum of masonry distress symptoms. Work included repair of the exterior masonry and underlying structural system, facade cleaning, and was performed in three separate phases. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration and management services. The New York State Dormitory Authority selected SUPERSTRUCTURES from a field of 25 other pre-qualified firms from throughout the northeastern United States.
