The Sedgwick Houses comprise a seven-building public housing complex in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services to restore the roofs on the Sedgwick buildings. Restoration work included: removal of the existing ballasted roofing systems and flashings; spall repairs to the concrete roof decks; and installation of new liquid-applied roofing systems, including perimeter and penetration flashings and drains. The project also included: coating of exposed steel shelf angles and lintels; railing replacements; bulkhead door saddle and hardware replacements; cast stone replacement with brick masonry; and window and door sealant replacement.
