Fashion Industries Vocational High School is a 12-story Art Deco building. It was constructed in 1938 and designed by Walter C. Martin, Superintendent of School Buildings. SUPERSTRUCTURES directed an in-house and subconsultant team for investigation and design repairs for the building's exterior as well as climate control, electrical systems, and school safety systems. The exterior restoration program included total roof replacement including some levels with paving systems, replication of the original bronze doors, and cleaning ornamental metal and grill work. Masonry repairs and cleaning techniques took into account a variety of materials and colors.
