SUPERSTRUCTURES has provided investigation, design, and construction administration services to restore the facades and roofs of various DASNY-owned buildings—including parapet restoration. For the West Building at Hunter College, the firm conducted a FISP critical examination and subsequent restoration which included parapet replacement involving increasing the existing parapet height. Facade and roof restorations of the Performing Arts Center at Kingsborough Community College (preceded by a FISP critical examination) and the Fitzgerald Gym at Queens College also included parapet restoration or reconstruction. For Baruch College’s Lawrence & Eris Field Building, emergency facade repairs included parapet and coping tile replacement. Restoration of Medgar Evers College’s Carroll Street building included parapet and chimney coping stone replacement.
