Columbia University moved to its present 32-acre campus in Morningside Heights in 1897. Among its buildings are national historic landmarks and structures listed on the New York City Register of Historic Places. The University now maintains a portfolio of more than 250 buildings and owns over 7,800 apartments. SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained to conduct Local Law 11 inspections of the facades of more than two dozen buildings and to prepare detailed exterior condition assessment reports. The firm engaged in the remediation of unsafe conditions for five buildings; services included preparation of construction documents through construction administration. Owner: Columbia University.
