Building C/D in the Bellevue Hospital complex is a nine-story, steel-framed, masonry-clad structure built in the late 1930s. SUPERSTRUCTURES conducted emergency repairs and a facade restoration to correct various SWARMP conditions identified in a FISP critical examination of the building’s envelope. Restoration work included: removal and replacement of cracked masonry units; masonry repointing; stone masonry and terra cotta restoration; and terra cotta baluster replacement. Work also included guardrail restoration at balconies, sheet metal restoration, and snow guard replacement.
