The Louis J. Lefkowitz State Office Building at 80 Centre Street was designed by state architect, William Haugaard and built in 1928. SUPERSTRUCTURES conducted a FISP Cycle 9 Critical Examination of the building’s envelope and provided design and construction administration services to repair unsafe and SWARMP conditions. The restoration scope included: concrete spall repair; removal and replacement of cracked masonry units; masonry re-pointing; stone sill replacement; stone crack, spall, and mortar joint repair; door and window joint sealant repair; and re-securing metal trim.
