Now a commercial building, this 1891 mansion was a wedding gift to William Vanderbilt's granddaughter from her mother. With Beaux Arts ornamentation, the five-story building features a bowed window, two stories high, that supports a balcony with a cast iron railing. The restoration project, done to the highest preservation standard, included patching of stone masonry units, replacement of steel and stone lintels, including replacement of brick masonry as required, replacement of window sills, masonry re-pointing, and installation of coating on balcony. The firm provided investigation, design and construction administration services.
