This 13-story commercial building has a brick masonry facade over a steel frame with decorative terra cotta stone and copper panels. SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained to provide a Local Law 11 Cycle 7 investigation and complete facade restoration design and construction administration services. Because the building is located within the Garment Center Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration program is utilizing historic preservation tax credits. This scope includes the replacement of steel lintels, cracked terra cotta ornament, copings and sills and the preservation of historic painted signage.
