250 Hudson Street is a 14-story-plus-penthouse commercial building constructed in the 1930s. It comprises brick and limestone veneers over a reinforced concrete structural frame. The project involved facade restoration, as well as the restoration of bulkhead walls. The existing terra cotta cornice and pilasters were re-coated. The fact that some of the work had to be accomplished directly above the entrance to the Holland Tunnel offered a special challenge. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services.
