Over 50 members of SUPERSTRUCTURES’ team attended our April “Lunch & Learn” session, “Joint Sealants: Their Design and Use” presented by Michael Winge of Sika Corporation.

Lunch & Learn is our ongoing professional development series where experts in the field of exterior restoration and manufacturers’ technical representatives help improve our team’s knowledge of materials and methods, and alert us to upcoming developments in the marketplace.

Mr. Winge’s presentation focused on best practices for designing and installing joint sealants. It discussed joint sealants and their use in exterior restoration applications, comparing different sealant types on the market and the history of their development.

Our team gained a greater understanding of where joint sealants are used, practical knowledge to help better specify sealants, and insights into how to improve joint designs.
