In the film Moneyball, Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) has an epiphany: baseball's conventional wisdom of relying on high-profile star players is all wrong.

Joining forces with Yale economics wunderkind Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), Beane assembles a team of less flashy players who nonetheless have game-winning potential, an aggregate rather than an all-star approach.
