SUPERSTRUCTURES has provided engineering services at One New York Plaza since the award-winning restoration of the building in 1998. Among our various projects for the building was restoration and rehabilitation of the loading dock and parking garage ramp. The access ramp was beyond repair and was replaced with new steel framing and concrete over the metal deck. The scope of work also included repair of concrete cracks and spalls, new overlay systems, steel plate anchorage restoration, and expansion joint restoration. Prior projects for One New York Plaza involved an overall building renovation, including restoration of structural support for metal cladding above the 50th floor, restoration of structural support for a metal fence at the bulkhead, roof replacement, and structural engineering for HVAC upgrades.
