SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services for these two facilities on City College’s Manhattan campus. Steinman Hall is a seven-story, metal panel- and brick-clad academic building completed in 1957, and the North Academic Center is a nine-story steel-framed, brick and stone masonry-clad academic building completed in 1984. Following testing for asbestos, PCB-containing materials, and mold, restoration work included: repairs to metal facade cladding; foundation repairs; stone spall and crack repairs; and sealant joint replacement.
