The Robert N. Davoren Center (RNDC) is a detention facility for adult and adolescent males, consisting of a two-floor, central administration building flanked by six, three-floor housing units and connecting corridors, as well as numerous, modular ancillary structures. SUPERSTRUCTURES conducted an investigation and provided a conditions report and construction documents for restoration of the RNDC’s roofs and related building assemblies, organized into two areas: 1) damage sustained from Superstorm Sandy, and 2) general damage and deterioration. Work included complete replacement or repair of existing single-ply EPDM or TPO roofing systems to remediate damage, eliminate leaks, and prolong service life. The scope also included repairs to flashings, copings, drains, railings, and bulkheads.
