Designed by Robert A.M. Stern and built in 2009, this condominium complex derives its unique name from the fact that it’s built on the former site of the Superior Ink factory. The complex comprises a 17-story tower facing the Hudson and seven townhouses on Bethune Street. SUPERSTRUCTURES conducted a comprehensive restoration of the building’s prefabricated brick panel wall system that was exhibiting failure. This work included repair of loose brick veneer elements and deteriorated expansion joints between panels, along with the restoration of precast concrete elements. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction management servies for this project.
