SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design and construction phase services for a multi-part exterior restoration project at Abraham Lincoln High School. The school complex, completed in 1929, consists of five connected buildings. A central three-story building houses most of the classrooms. Two gyms and an auditorium are housed in separate, one-story double-height wings. A natatorium is housed in a one-story structure between the two gyms. The scope included replacement of over 33 types of windows totaling 30,000 square feet, and skylights over the natatorium. The project also included flood elimination, reinforcement of support elements, some masonry restoration and roof replacement.
