476 Broome Street
New York, NY

476 Broome Street, located in the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District, was designed by Griffin Thomas and built in 1872. The cast-iron facades are ornamented with Corinthian pilasters and quoined corner piers. SUPERSTRUCTURES' scope includes restoration of the cast iron facades, window replacement, and restoration of the sidewalk vault including the cast iron vault lights. SUPERSTRUCTURES produced drawings and specifications in order to obtain NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission approval for a full restoration program, as part of the owner's Zoning Resolution Section 74-711 application for modification of use for the site. The firm also provided construction phase services for the project.
