The Fitzgerald Gym at Queens College is a three-story building completed in 1958 with a pool located on the ground floor and a gym located on the top floor, which has a 30-foot-high ceiling located directly under the barrel-vaulted roof. SUPERSTRUCTURES completed a roof investigation and construction documents to replace the precast cement plank deck with a new acoustical metal deck system covered by a PVC roofing system. Included in the project scope are new mechanic units and lighting upgrade that will allow the facility to host nationally televised sporting events.
