The structure is an open-deck 4-story parking garage constructed in 1967, situated on a steep hillside and with a floor plate of approximately 19,000 square feet. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design and construction administration services. The scope of work included restoration of structural slabs, restoration of structural steel framing, replacement of asphalt overlay with waterproofing membrane, restoration of composite floor panels including reinforcement of joist bearing ends, reinforcement of joist bars, concrete spall repairs, replacement of joint sealant, and installation of traffic-bearing coating. The International Concrete Repair Institute recognized the restoration with its Award of Excellence.
