The Borough of Manhattan Community College campus spans four city blocks - equivalent in length to the Empire State Building lying on its side. The massive building houses 79 classrooms and seminar rooms, numerous laboratories, and three lecture halls, the campus library, a 913-seat auditorium, a 262-seat theater, and a 99-seat drama workshop. Completed in 1983, the buildings exterior exhibited a range of conditions including: concrete, masonry, and metal deterioration, as well as failing sealant and gaskets. In 2005 SUPERSTRUCTURES completed an exterior conditions report, prepared construction documents, and in 2008/9 provided construction administration services.
